Dave Blaney is a retired professional stock car racing driver who was born on October 24, 1962, in Hartford Township, Ohio, USA. Blaney began his racing career in the World of Outlaws sprint car series before transitioning to NASCAR in the late 1990s.
Blaney competed in the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Camping World Truck Series throughout his career. He is best known for driving the No. 93 Bill Davis Racing Dodge in the Cup Series and the No. 77 Jasper Motorsports Ford. Blaney scored his first and only Cup Series win at the 2001 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
After retiring from full-time competition in NASCAR, Blaney continued to race part-time in various series, including sprint car racing. He also mentored his son, Ryan Blaney, who is a successful NASCAR Cup Series driver.
